Londyn Gentry

The Torchbearer

2025

For the next generation who are already leading. This award celebrates youth and young adults (age 24 and under) who are blazing trails, whether through organizing, art, entrepreneurship, or everyday acts of courage and care. They’re not waiting for permission; they’re already building what’s next.

At just 13 years old, Londyn Gentry is already making her mark both on and off the field. A standout club soccer player for the Baltimore Bays, Londyn’s dedication and leadership have earned her recognition as a true role model among her peers.
Currently an 8th grader at Steamers Run Middle School, Londyn excels academically as an honor roll student while balancing her athletic commitments. Beyond the classroom and the soccer field, she embraces her role as a big sister and mentor, inspiring those around her with kindness, discipline, and determination.

Driven by a passion to uplift others, Londyn has developed a business plan to support children facing bullying and hardship. Her vision is to create a program that provides free clothing to underprivileged kids by collecting and redistributing gently worn items. Partnering with local businesses and school districts, Londyn plans to place clothing donation hubs in accessible locations—ensuring kids in need have resources and support.

Londyn Gentry represents the very best of youth leadership, combining academic achievement, athletic talent, and community service. Her dream is not only to succeed personally, but also to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

WHAT COMMUNITY HAD TO SAY:

"Londyn plays soccer for the Baltimore Bays at 13, overcoming bullying and being placed at a new school with children raised differently. She has played soccer for 3 years, starting with Rec, then travel, and now club. Londyn is a rising star who is overcoming setting twins and is determined to win."
